My patients bring to me whatever condition they find troubling.
General Practice
As a general family practice, I often treat injuries from various accidents, including post-operation recovery from both elective and non-elective surgeries. I treat many acute and chronic pain, such as neuropathy, Bell’s palsy, fibromyalgia, plantar fasciitis, sciatica, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, bursitis, tendonitis, frozen shoulder, tweaked one’s back or neck, broken toes/fingers/wrist, etc. Along with that, stress and anxiety and their myriad of presentations: headaches, insomnia, irritable bowel, nausea, GERD, poor digestion and energy, etc. In addition, I also see quite a few “annoying” or “weird”/idiopathic issues like unexplained vertigo and dizziness, seasonal allergies, chronic sinusitis, ear infections, menstruation irregularities, menopausal symptoms, as well as my favorite, seasonal infectious diseases and skin diseases.
Chinese medicine always aims to bring one back into balance and harmony – harmony within (oneself), and harmony without (nature).
Mental-Emotional Health
Sometimes patients seek help with emotional, mental and behavioral issues that range from grief, depression, weight-loss/gain, smoking cessation, PTSD, bipolar, OCD, etc. I support their recovery journey by treating the presentation at its root with acupuncture and herbal medicine with attentive listening, empathy and genuine encouragement.
Ancient Chinese philosophy teaches that the mind/Soul/Heart is housed in the body; in Chinese medicine, we believe that we can access and heal the intangible through the physical body.
Conjunctive Therapies
I support patients seeking relief from the undesirable side effects of their western medications and or treatments, such as cancer patients going through chemo- or radiation therapy, and patients on depression or anxiety medications. In addition, I also support athletes in recovery as well as couples going through fertility treatment, and women in pre- and post-natal care.
Chinese medicine is also a very effective conjunctive care for many conventional therapies including chemo, radiation and IVF.
If you have specific questions about how Chinese medicine can support and improve your well-being, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly.
