June 2026
Summer is here, and we’re quickly approaching the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice. After that, the daylight will gradually decrease, and the night will slowly grow longer until we reach the longest night, the Winter Solstice. As such, the cycle of life around the sun continues.
Before this observation gets too philosophical, let me just make an announcement to remind folks that our June by-donation/free acupuncture clinic will be on Sunday, June 21. If you need some care to help you establish a quiet pause for whatever reason – a persistent thought, a persistent pain, to sleep better, to release built-up tension in the body, etc., we can help and would love to see you at the clinic.

May 2026
With the daytime temperature in the 90s and about to reach triple digits, our winter visitors are quickly leaving for their summer abode. After this Friday UA commencement, Tucson may finally slip into a quieter mode, which will be much welcomed after another push to wrap up our high season.
Please make sure you stay hydrated as you go about your day. With the higher daytime temperature and the afternoon wind, we can feel parched much easier especially when we’re out running errands or exercising.
The May ear acupuncture clinic is happening on this coming Sunday, May 17th. It’s been encouraging to see some repeat visitors (and I hope to get to know some of you better over time), and always a few new faces at each occasion.
As a lifelong student of the healing arts, it’s been a privilege to offer this modality to help alleviate some levels of stress, trauma and pain for those in needs. As a practitioner, I am surprised and often moved by the atmosphere of peace and relaxation when everyone is resting with their treatment in the healing circle. I hope that the ease and relief you find during the treatment will continue to support and surround you as you go back to your day-to-day life.
This clinic is offered from my own practice without any grant funding or sponsorship. Everyone is welcome with no expectation for an equal exchange of payment. However, if you are at a position to help, and you’ve been coming to the free clinic for care, your generous donation will help support the cost of supplies and overhead.
April 2026
We are having our April Free Clinic on the 19th, Sunday.
Tucson is in its proper spring season now, and many folks are experiencing quite a bit of seasonal allergy and fatigue as a result. Stress and allergies feed off each other, and acupuncture can help “cool” the body’s excessive autoimmune response and calm the nervous system.
Whether you may need a little help to quiet the mind, or to open the nasal passage and the sinus, we can help you achieve this without adding more chemicals to the body. Maybe we’ll see you on Sunday the 19th?
We want to give a big, hearty THANK YOU to the folks who came to receive treatment and donated to support our free clinic. This monthly service and care is offered freely. We don’t have any grant or sponsor for the work we do. Your monetary support helps with the cost of supplies and the overhead, and your action let us know that this work is worthwhile.

March 2026
We’ll have a Pop-up, Free, Ear Acupuncture Clinic this Sunday, 3/29/2026, from 2:30 to 4:30PM.
Apology to everyone who came to the clinic on the 19th or the 22nd. We were unable to open due to scheduling conflict.
We want to help. A lot of folks are coping with the warming trend and some level of seasonal allergy on top of many devastating world events. If you feel that it’s been a struggle to keep up, and you could use a gentle mind and body reset, please come to the free clinic this Sunday!
Earlier in March..
Being good and doing good requires work because it is not always convenient. We can cultivate more good, more peace, more harmony by giving our attention to that which bring us peace, harmony and a sense of goodness.
With half a dozen arts and crafts markets dotted throughout the month, Tucson Festival of Books this weekend, the 4th Avenue Street Fair next, there are many wonderful reasons to get out of the house on the weekend.
So why not go out, walk around the book festival, visit Mission Garden, make some new friends and connect through art, and nature, or just by the shear curiosity of getting to know someone. Take a break from politics and things that make us crazy. Remind ourselves that there are still good in the world, and every sunrise and sunset is still a blessing.
We appreciate March in Tucson just as much as our winter visitors, don’t we?
January 2026
In honor of Good and peace, and as a small offering to our collective healing, Pathfinder is providing a free, community style, auricular acupuncture clinic on every 3rd Sunday afternoon. We will focus on addressing trauma in our lives whether from witnessing or direct experience. Don’t worry, if you have a chronic pain, we can provide some relief as well with primarily ear acupuncture with minimal body (arms and legs) acupuncture.
This clinic will convene at the Meeting Room of the Pima County/ Tucson Women’s Commission building at 240 North Court in the Presidio neighborhood of downtown Tucson.
Door will open at 1PM, and we plan to admit the last patient at 3PM.

Healing Circle
In this community style setting, we sit in a circle together holding mindful silence for our individual and collective healing process to unfold. We have our space for quiet reflection and rest, yet we are also in the presence of everyone, who just like us, is also seeking healing and relief.
Ear or Auricular Acupuncture
There are over 250 acupuncture points on the outer ear alone! They are not a continuation of the meridians in the body, and they affect our being a little differently than the body points.
For a start, they are incredibly effective in transforming pain and particularly, psychosomatic pain. They are really wonderful in gently quieting the conversations in the head so that we can come back to our body, our heart.
Ear acupuncture, just like body or meridian acupuncture, can help toggle our nervous response back to rest and digest, even if it’s only until the next crisis. A quieter, more relaxed mind can improve our sleep, our decision-making process, our self-talk, and also our interaction with others.
